For the fans of flat racing, this moment of the year is often seen as an early Christmas; the beginning of the new turf season for 2024. 
The stamina and drama of the national hunt sphere begins to move away from the spotlight and it is replaced by the speed and prestige of the flat racing scene. Large field handicaps and the unpredictable nature of sprint races will be the name of the game as the Lincoln Meeting took its regular place as the season opener.

Split over two days, the real quality of the meeting takes place on the Saturday as sprinters, milers and juveniles all get the opportunity to race on turf for the first time in 2024. Sunday's meeting is more family orientated and produced a large crowd with plenty of hotly contested races on display.
