Ed & Simon Crisford Stable

The name Simon Crisford has been a mainstay in horse racing as he was racing manager for Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin operation which saw hundreds of winners around the globe for the famous "boys in blue". Simon took out a license for himself in 2014 which came with much anticipation from the racing community and success would soon follow. Originally setting up across town on the Bury Road, Simon would train Royal Ascot winners in the form of 2018 Britannia Stakes victor Ostillio, 2019 Norfolk Stakes winner A'Ali and multiple winner Century Dream, winner at the Epsom Derby meeting in 2018.
Simon would go on to make UK racing history by joining up with son Ed and becoming the first joint license trainers in Britain in 2020. The pandemic brought an enforced stop to proceedings, but the outfit relocated to Gainsborough Stables on Hamilton where they assembled their team of equine talent. Century Dream stayed around to win the 2020 Celebration Mile at Goodwood to provide their first major win together and the stable has tasted plenty of success in Group Two and Group Three level. Current stable stars include Flotus, runner up in last year's Cheveley Park Stakes and rated the highest juvenile filly in 2021 before winning this year's Summer Stakes at York impressively. Without A Fight has developed into a smart stayer with a brace of wins at York, Jadoomi looks very smart on softer ground and led home a one-two for the stable in this year's Celebration Mile at Goodwood with Finest Sound chasing him home.
With plenty of wins at the level below, a first Group One victory will be on the agenda for the duo and judging by the equine talent available, that big race win is around the corner.
