The week that stops a region, the week where a global audience tunes in, the week in which the very best in the world of horse racing converge into the same place. The Ebor Festival has arrived once again.
Held on the Knavesmire in York, North Yorkshire, this four day festival has grown to new heights in recent years and is now recognised as part of the echelon of the Breeders Cup, Royal Ascot and Dubai World Cup. Twenty eight races of fierce competitiveness, high quality and likely drama will play out on the Yorkshire turf as current champions continue their reign while new stars could also be born.
Day one is all about the Juddmonte International, a global test over ten furlongs which was voted Race of the Year in 2024 and has been won by some of the all time greats of the sport. Day two switches the focus to the ladies as the Yorkshire Oaks takes centre stage for fillies and mares of all ages. The speedsters enter the fray on day three with the Nunthorpe Stakes over five furlongs, which is part of the most wide open divisions in the sport so anything could happen. The final day sees the Ebor Handicap, one of most valuable staying handicaps in the world and one with a deep history, so trainers around the country and further afield would love to add their name to the trophy.

Whoever makes the headlines during these four days will have earned their acclaim and now it would be time for the horses to do the talking on the track.
