Gallop Racing may not be the most well known name in the world of racehorse ownership syndicates, but they are gradually growing in strength and the signs are promising for the outfit. Created in 2015 by founder Richard Walker, the green and white hooped colours are being seen regularly at racecourses in North Yorkshire as well as further afield. With just a handful of horses in training, Gallop Racing have joined forces with two of leading trainers in the region, David O'Meara and Mark Johnston. The early flag bearer was Firmanent, a well bred purchase from the Cheveley Park Stud operation who provided his owners with plenty of memorable days at York and gained a cult following for his regular visits to the Knavesmire, usually finishing in the places. Firmament was retired at the start of 2022 aged ten, but has been a hugely popular horse. As so often in sport, there always has to be a time where the old guard have to be replaced.
2022 was a very successful year for Gallop Racing as they landed a memorable first Group race victory at Newmarket's July course with Lakota Sioux winning the Group Three Sweet Solera Stakes.
French import Eetee, formerly known as Ethnic Type in his earlier career, was slow to adapt to life in Britain but he soon made an impact by winning at Redcar and York during the summer.

2023 looks set to be a continuation of last year's glory with the likes of Eetee and Muscika returning another season alongside well bred juveniles set to hit the track during the summer.
